Clare Victoria Balding OBE is a highly respected and award-winning broadcaster, journalist, author, former sportswoman, national role model in the UK, and passionate advocate for advancing women in professional sports and business. Clare Balding has been appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to broadcasting and journalism; and in 2013 was also voted one of the 100 most Powerful Women in the UK. Clare is a Patron of the British Paralympic Association, British Thyroid Foundation, Riding for the Disabled, and Helen Rollason Cancer Care.

Clare currently presents for BBC Sport, Channel 4, BT Sport Channels, and formerly “Good Morning Sunday” on BBC Radio 2. Clare is the recipient of numerous awards for her professional, leadership, and humanitarian contributions including:

  • 2015 First Women Awards Lifetime Achievement

  • 2014 British Equestrian Federation Outstanding Journalist

  • 2012 BAFTA, as well as, Achievement Award from UK Women in Film & Television for her work on 2012 Olympics and Paralympics

Tsega Gebreyes is an exceptional entrepreneur, investor, philanthropist, and one of the most highly respected leaders in the Africa investment space today.

Tsega is Managing Partner of London-based Satya Capital LLP, which she co-founded in 2007 as a direct private equity investment vehicle with Sudanese billionaire Mr. Mo Ibrahim, and also serves on the Investment Committee of the Mo Ibrahim family office. In 2015, the global private equity firm TPG Capital, through TPG Growth formed an Investment Partnership with Satya Capital. TPG Growth is a market leader in Emerging Markets, Europe, and the USA with US$14bn AUM.  

Tsega’s current Board positions include Sonae, Ison Growth, Hygeia Nigeria, and is an Investment Committee Member at Investment Fund for Health in Africa. Former positions include as Chief of Strategy and Business Development for Celtel Intl, where she played a key role in leading the M&A process and $3.4bn acquisition of Celtel by MTC Kuwait; Founding Partner of Zephyr Opportunity Fund LLP; and Chief Business Development and Strategy Officer of Bharti Airtel Africa B.V. Tsega has a MBA from Harvard Business School.
